Revolutionize Construction with Micro Concrete: Applications, Advantages, and More

Micro Concrete is a dry ready-mix cement-based composition formulated mainly for use in repair works where the concrete is damaged, and movement is restricted, making it difficult to place traditional concrete. This innovative material offers superior performance and versatility for both structural repairs and decorative finishes.

Features of Micro Concrete

Features of Micro Concrete

High Strength: Achieves superior initial and ultimate final strength.
Durability: Ensures long-lasting and highly durable repaired sections.
Rapid Strength Gain: Enables early reinstatement of structures.
Pumpable or Pourable: Designed for easy application in restricted access areas.
Versatility: Ideal for repairing damaged concrete elements like columns, beams, and slabs.
Decorative Finish: Provides a smooth and aesthetic surface after application.
Fills Finer Gaps: Efficiently moves into and fills tighter spaces.
Enhanced Strength: Delivers significantly higher strength after curing.

Applications of Micro Concrete

Ideal Application Areas

● Repair of damaged reinforced concrete elements like beams, columns, and walls where access is restricted, and compaction is not possible.

● Jacketing of RCC columns to increase load-bearing capacity (strengthening vertical members).

● Kitchen/ Factory floors

Guidance for Use

Substrate Preparation

1. Clean loose particles, dirt, grease, and foreign materials using a wire brush, sandpaper, or by chipping.
2. Ensure the surface temperature and ambient temperature of the grouted area are between 5°C and 40°C.

Mixing

1. Use approximately 100-150 ml of clean water for every 1 kg of Micro Concrete in a clean bucket.

2. Always add the material into water, not vice versa.

3. Stir continuously for 3-5 minutes using a mechanical stirrer or by hand until a pourable consistency is achieved.

Application

1. Cure the surface with water before application.

2. Pour the Micro Concrete into the area to be repaired or filled, ensuring watertight shuttering.

3. Displace air properly during filling, if required.

4. Cure the repaired concrete for a minimum of 7 days before removing the shuttering.

5. Recommended thickness: 25 mm to 100 mm to prevent cracks after healing.

6. Use gravel (5-12 mm) for deeper applications.

Curing

1. Continuous moist treatment for at least 7 days to optimize physical properties and reduce shrinkage.

2. Alternatively, moist cure for 24 hours, followed by applying a curing compound compliant with standards.

3. Curing is critical under rapid moisture loss conditions like high temperatures, winds, or low humidity.
